Roof & attic insulation
Top up or replace the attic insulation to a depth of 300 mm. Often the single biggest contributor to a warmer house and a lower heating bill, and the SEAI grant covers a healthy slice of the work.

Get a quote →Roof-mounted panels that turn daylight into your electricity. A 4 kW system is the common spec, enough to cover most of a heat-pump household's daytime use, with the surplus exporting back to the grid.
Get a quote →Triple-glazed units with low U-values cut your heat loss and most of the road noise alongside it. On older homes it's often the simplest measure to start with.
Get a quote →Pumped insulation injected into the gap inside hollow walls. Quick to install, no internal mess, and the cheapest measure to get a usable BER lift on most builds from the '80s through the '00s.
Get a quote →An insulated layer applied to the outside of solid walls, then rendered. The best fit for older properties without a cavity, with a big BER jump, though you'll lose the original brick or pebbledash look.
Get a quote →An air-to-water heat pump runs your heating and hot water off electricity, typically at a third of the energy a gas or oil boiler uses. The outdoor unit sits beside the house; the cylinder goes in the hot-press.
